PETER Kay has stepped in to give the fundraising campaign for six-year-old cancer sufferer a massive boost.
It has emerged the Bolton comedian is donating all the ticket sale proceeds of two shows to the appeal.
The £250,000 campaign for Madison Allan should be boosted by thousands of pounds thanks to the two sell-out warm up shows at The Met, in Bury. Tickets cost £15 and the theatre holds 240 people.
The first show took place last night, and the second is tonight. The performances are a warm up for his national tour.
Mr Kay could not be contacted for comment last night.
Madison’s mum, Samantha, of Lower Darwen, said “I’m a massive fan of his so it’s very exciting that he’s decided to do this.”
Madison needs £250,000 for life-saving treatment not currently available in the UK. So far, £65,000 has been raised.
