Dawn French confirms she is in a relationship

Comedian Dawn French who divorced Lenny Henry this year after 25 years of marriage has confirmed that she is in her first relationship since divorcing Lenny Henry. According to the French and Saunders star, she is taking things easy but is enjoying herself.

Dawn who has said that she has had dates and has been inundated with offers said she is in a happy place at the moment. 

She told The Sun: "I'm not lonely, let's put it that way,"


"But it's a difficult thing and I wouldn't want any spotlight drawn to somebody not in the business."

She added: "Before this I'd had a couple of nibbles. But now I'm not lonely - life is good."

Dawn will not reveal the man who is making her happy adding that she would like to keep him out of the public eye.

Comedienne will sign her first novel

ACTOR and comedian Dawn French be stopping off in Bristol to sign copies of her new book.


Known for her work with comedy partner Jennifer Saunders and appearing in Vicar Of Dibley, French has written her first novel, A Tiny Bit Marvellous.


She will be visiting WHSmith in The Mall, Cribbs Causeway, at 1.30pm on Wednesday for the book-signing.


A Tiny Bit Marvellous follows the publication of French's memoir Dear Fatty, which sold more than 600,000 hardback copies.


The novel is billed as a story of a modern family lurching towards meltdown.


French, who also appeared in Jam And Jerusalem and Larkrise To Candleford, described writing the book as a labour of love.
