Win: Jimmy Carr: Being Funny

Jimmy Carr: Being Funny will be released on November 21, 2011, and to celebrate we have got 3 copies on DVD to give away to lucky winners of our competition.

Synopsis:
Having performed live to over 1.2m people, the UK’s hardest working comedian Jimmy Carr, is back with his brand new stand-up DVD.

Star of hit TV shows 8 Out of 10 Cats and 10 O’clock Live, Jimmy is well known for his slick one liners and non-stop gags, but his acerbic wit and fast-paced comedy style are at their brilliant best when he has the stage to himself.

Packed with over 100 minutes of brand new material, including too-rude-for-TV jokes, hilarious heckling, and even better put-downs, Jimmy pushes the boundaries of comedy and delivers a spectacular show.

How To Win:

We have 3 copies on DVD to give away.
To win answer the following question.

Jimmy Carr hosts which statistically based comedy panel show?

If you know the answer, then please send it along with your name and address to ukstandup@live.co.uk please put "Jimmy Carr Comp" in the subject line of your email.

Competition will close November 30th 2011, entries after this date will not count.

Jimmy Carr: I'm glad I had a normal job

Comedian Jimmy Carr, 38, worked in an oil company marketing department before becoming one of Britain's most prominent and successful stand-ups. He has presented numerous TV shows, including 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and is a regular guest on the QI panel show.

Your new DVD is billed as ‘too rude and offensive for TV’ – in what way?

It certainly wouldn’t make it past Ofcom. When you make a TV show, you’re a guest in someone’s house. With live shows, you can do what your sense of humour is. It’s the sort of jokes I’d tell my friends. My jokes can be offensive and cruel on a surface level but I’m just trying to make people laugh – there’s nothing more to it.

Do you ever wish you’d continued working in the oil industry?

No but I’m glad I had a normal job. If you don’t have anything to compare it against you don’t realise how privileged you are to be working in showbiz. It’s nice to have had a job where I had to haul my arse into the office.
