Mighty Boosh heading Stateside

Mighty Boosh co-creator Noel Fielding has revealed there are plans to take the hit comedy series to the US, but they will not be handing the show over to an American cast.

"We'd go and do it ourselves," the comedian said.

"A lot of people are interested and we've met some people over there so we'd write something slightly different for ourselves," he added.

Fielding and his writing partner Julian Barratt are busy working on solo projects but are keen to get back together to work on the Mighty Boosh franchise which includes a new album and a film.

Fielding said: "We'll either finish the film and put that out or go to America."
